Hope and the Visual Arts
Picture
Hope Chapel is a non-denominational church in Austin, Texas, and a warm, hospitable community of believers. We are called together to love God, love each other and love our city. We are called to the urban core of Austin, to be near the governmental, educational, technical and artistic population centers of our city.

HopeArts is the arts ministry of Hope Chapel. We hang several exhibits per year, sponsor experimental performance evenings called 8 Minutes Max, and host events such as potlucks, classes, and discussions where artists working in all genres can hang out together. The biennial HopeArts Festival showcases musical, theatrical and literary performances in venues around Austin as well as a visual art exhibit. Other creative arts ministries have included community events, special-interest small groups, and classes, seminars and panels on Christianity and the arts.
